    Suspected militants kill four in Kashmir

    JAMMU, April 30 (2006): Militants shot dead four Hindus in Kashmir who were part of a group of nine abducted by the guerrillas earlier on Sunday, police said. "They had gone to graze their cattle when militants kidnapped them. So far, we have recovered four bodies with bullet marks," senior police officer Lalit I. Mohanty said.     Grenade wounds 14 at Kashmir forest resort, Pahalgam

    SRINAGAR, April 27 (2006): Suspected Islamist militants detonated a grenade at Pahalgam in Kashmir on Thursday, wounding 14 people, including at least eight tourists, police said. More than 600,000 overwhelmingly Indian tourists visited Indian Kashmir last year but separatist attacks have increased in recent weeks across the region.     Children among 23 wounded in Kashmir explosions

    SRINAGAR, April 25 (2006): At least 23 people, including eight schoolchildren, were wounded in Indian Kashmir on Tuesday as suspected Islamist militants stepped up violence in the disputed region, police said.
