Pro-India parties strengthening forced occupation, says Geelani

Srinagar: Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani on Wednesday while addressing the mourners during the funeral of Tauseef Ahmed, said that pro-India parties are strengthening forced occupation in the state.

Geelani also reiterated his call to boycott the upcoming parliamentary elections. The octogenarian also paid tributes to three youth killed during anti-government protests in Chadoora on Tuesday.

“These parties work for the interest of Indian authorities and hence strengthen the forced occupation. It is quite strange that on one hand they are killing our budding youth and on the other desperately enact drama for their pity gains.”

He added that if they (mainstream) would been sincere, they would have disassociated themselves from pro-India politics.

While asking people to stay away from the upcoming polls, Geelani said that politicians don’t deserve votes or nay kind of support.

“These politicians don’t have any worth and hence don’t deserve our vote & support. Jail is the better place for them. They are involved in scandals like corruption, sex rackets, and embezzlements.”

He also pointed out that once grabbing power, these parties promote liquor, narcotics and immodesty.
