M R Singh is Secretary J&K Legislative Assembly

Srinagar: The J&K Legislative Assembly secretariat on Wednesday got its twelfth Secretary.

Sources in the Assembly secretariat revealed to the FreePressKashmir that the directions in this regard were issued by Speaker Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta.

Incumbent Secretary, Muhammad Ramzan, is retiring from his services today.

“Mulkh Raj Singh is new Secretary J&K legislature,” the official sources said. He was currently posted as Special Secretary in the assembly secretariat, they added.

Given his seniority in the assembly secretariat, Ramzan was recently elevated as Secretary General of J&K Legislature. He is a resident of Kulgam in Kashmir.

M R Singh is a resident of Nagrota, Jammu.

“Muhammad Ramzan will be handing over charge to M R Singh today only and Speaker of the Assembly is expected to be present on the occasion,” the sources informed.

Singh joined J&K Assembly in 1980. He is twelfth Secretary of J&K Legislative Assembly.
