Srinagar: The Prime Minister of Pakistan administered Kashmir (PaK) has alleged that India “wanted to escalate” situation on the Line of Control (LoC) by “targeting” civilian population on its part.
“India wants displacement of over half million population living along the LoC, but valiant forces of Pakistan are effectively foiling enemy’s bid,” Raja Farooq Haider, the PaK premier, said.
At least four civilians were killed across LoC in Jammu and Kashmir last week due to the shelling of mortars by Indian and Pakistan troops posted along the de facto border.
“The PaK Government will not leave any stone un-turned to mitigate sufferings of the people living on LoC,” he told reporters in Islamabad – the capital city of Pakistan.
Observing that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will bring progress and prosperity to the entire region, Haider lauded the efforts of Pakistan premier, Mian Nawaz Sharif.
“The (PaK) government and the people of Azad Kashmir full support Nawaz Sharif’s Kashmir policy,” he asserted.
“Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has effectively highlighted the Kashmir issue on the international forums,” the PaK PM said.
He also said that Nawaz Sharif doubled the PaK government budget.
He urged all the political parties of Pakistan “to join forces” on the issue of Kashmir.
“Now the time has come when the longstanding issue of Kashmir should be raised at the UN Security Council,” he said.
On the issue of Panama gate, the PaK Prime Minister said that he respects all the institutions of Pakistan but “there should be no impression that any kind of discrimination” is being done with Nawaz Sharif.
“Political parties should wait for the 2018 elections and refrain from creating chaos in the country,” he added.
“There should be peaceful transition of power to strengthen democracy in the country,” Haider said adding that people of PaK will “fully support” PML-N in next general elections.
