Assembly: ‘Israel ka agenda, RSS ka agenda, sarkaari dahshat gardi nahi chalay gi’ slogans reverberate house

Srinagar: Charging the Mehbooba Mufti led PDP-BJP government of implementing “agenda of Israel and RSS”, the opposition lawmakers made their entry into the lower house of the J&K Legislature.

Holding banners which read: Muslim dominated state but Hindu dominated bureaucracy, the National Conference, Congress and independent lawmakers shouted at the treasury benches.

“Israel ak agenda, RSS ka agenda, BJP ka agenda nahi chalay ga, nahi chalay ga,” the opposition lawmakers raised the slogans.

Referring to the injuries inflicted upon the civilians by the armed forces, NC’s Ab Majid Larmi said that even women folk were injured by pellets.

“Omar sahib took responsibility of 2010 mayhem,” Larmi said addressing Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, “what have you done? Nothing.”

The opposition lawmakers are holding a standing opposition protest from their respective seats while chief minister and her cabinet members are sitting in their seats.

“RSS sarkar, Qaatil sarkaar, Hai hai,” the opposition lawmakers raised the slogans when Speaker Kavinder Gupta made his entry while he took up obituary references.

However, Langate lawmaker, Er Rasheed shouted at the chair asking him to discuss the current situation.

The governor N N Vohra has called a special session of J&K Legislative Assembly to discuss the extension of central Goods and Services Tax (GST) to the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

However, the PDP-BJP government is facing a stiff resistance from National Conference and Congress while the joint resistance leadership termed the law as a plan “to cripple economy of J&K”.
