Terror groups like Al-Qaeda, ISIS have nothing to do with Kashmir freedom struggle: LeT

Srinagar: Militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba on Thursday said that India is trying to label the legitimate freedom struggle of Kashmir as terrorism by implying that terror groups like Al-Qayeda and ISIS have made inroads into the Valley.

Mehmood Shah, the LeT Chief, in a statement to a news agency CNS, said that this conspiracy is a part of Ajit Doval’s doctrine.

Doval is the National Security Advisor to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“We would like to inform the masses that the militant groups, with their mutual understanding and unity, are fighting against Indian forces. On the other hand, groups such as Al-Qaeda and ISIS are being brought up to label the legitimate freedom struggle as terrorism. Al-Qaeda and ISIS thrive on Takfeer (ruling someone to be a non-beleiver). All they have done has just greatly affected the Muslims and brought upon them the injustice, brutality and oppression.”

Shah added in the statement that India has lost its war in Kashmir.

“The Indian conspiracies are being foiled ever since the locals and Hurriyat leaders forged unity amongst themselves. India is trying to collapse this alliance but by grace of God, we will not let it happen at any cost,” he said.

He further added, “LeT strongly condemned the illegal arrests of Hurriyat leader Shabbir Shah, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Masarat Alam, Aasia Andarabi, Dr. Muhammad Qasim Faktu and others and declare such shameful act as human rights violation.”

It’s pertinent to mention that militant commander Zakir Musa who was earlier associated with Hizbul Mujahideen, was declared the head of the newly formed Al-Qaeda linked cell Ansar Ghawzat-Ul-Hind.
