‘Militant outfit Hizbul Mujhadeen has accused Indian agencies of killing Gowhar’

Srinagar: Shopian police on Monday claimed to have cracked the killing case of Gowhar Ahmad Dar and identified the militants involved in the crime.

Reportedly, a bullet ridden body of Gowhar, son of Late Abdul Rahim Dar resident of Urpora, Nagbal was recovered by Police Station Zainapora, Shopian from Humhona Mulberry.

In this regard, Shopian police said, “On the basis of reliable inputs, we have identified two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants namely Waseem Shah, a resident of Heff and Nazim Dar, a resident of Urpora and a manhunt has been launched to nab the accused militants.

However, militant outfit Hizbul Mujhadeen has accused Indian agencies of killing a youth in south Kashmir’s Shopian district, saying “Kashmiri youth with freedom loving spirit always remain on the radar of Government agencies”.

Burhanuddin, the Hizb Operational Spokesperson told news agency CNS that the outfit is grieved over the death of Gowhar and wants to clarify that it has no role whatsoever in his killing.

No militant outfit has claimed the responsibility of killing the father of a three year old kid, Malik, however, police late last evening issued a statement claiming that he was killed by militants.
