Joint Resistance to go ahead with their NIA protest programme

“We will proceed towards New Delhi at 3 pm tomorrow’

Srinagar: The Joint Resistance Leadership will leave for New Delhi on Saturday to court arrest before NIA Headquarters and to stage protest sit-in against NIA raids.

In a joint statement it was stated that Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik will reach Hurriyat (G) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani’s residence at Hyderpora first and then will proceed towards New Delhi at 1 pm. Their fight is scheduled at 3 pm on Saturday from Srinagar Airport.

Geelani, Mirwaiz and Malik had on Wednesday in a joint press conference announced to fly to New Delhi to protest NIA raids and court arrest before NIA headquarters.

Meanwhile, authorities on Thursday had told KNS that they will allow the separatists to proceed to New Delhi.

Earlier, today JKLF chairman Yasin Malik was released by the authorities from Central Jail where he was lodged yesterday.
