People cease to be Muslims, Christians moment they become terrorists: Dalai Lama

Imphal: Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama on Wednesday said that people cease to be Mulsims, Christians or any others the moment they become terrorists, reported IANS.

He was speaking during a public reception on the second day of his three day tour to the North eastern state of Manipur.

“People cease to be Muslim, Christian or any group the moment they became terrorists,” he said.

The Tibetan leader also said that he does not like the “America first” slogan of US President Donald Trump.

While saying the India has a tradition of 1000 years of non-violence, Dalai Lama added that the country could ensure world peace by reviving its ancient knowledge.

He pointed out that out of the seven billion people on earth, six billion are children of  God and one billion are non-believers.

He also added that problems around the world can be solved through dialogue.

Dalai Lama has been living in India since fleeing his homeland in 1959. The spiritual leader said that the widening gap between the rich and poor was morally wrong.

“This gap is visible in India and Manipur also.”
