Grenade lobbed at NC leader’s house in Tral

Srinagar: Suspected militants lobbed a grenade at the house of National Conference leader Mohammad Ashraf Bhat in Tral on Sunday.

Bhat is the son of former MLA of Tral Mohammad Subhan Bhat.

According to reports, a CRPF personnel has been injured in the attack.

“A CRPF personnel identified as SK Naval Ali of 180 BN was injured in the explosion. He has been shifted to the 92 Base Hospital in Srinagar for specialized treatment,” an official said.

According to reports the family of the NC leader is said to be safe.

Earlier in the day, unidentified gunmen killed a woman Yasmeena and injured another named Ruby in the Seer village of Tral.

Ruby was shifted to a hospital from where she was referred to Srinagar for advanced treatment and a cordon was in place to nab the attackers.
