Indian Muslims ditched Jinnah, now living in hapless condition, says Hurriyat leader Sehrai

Says Pakistan came into existence for betterment of Muslims

Srinagar: Senior Hurriyat leader and general secretary of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat led by Syed Ali Geelani, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai Thursday said they “shouldn’t question the nation that came into existence for the betterment of Muslims as a nation”, adding, the “existence of Kashmir is eternal with the existence of Pakistan”.

He said the two nation theory was a reality and nobody should question it. Sehrai was addressing a seminar titled ‘Iqbal, Daie-Haq & Muhib-i-Insaniyat’, at Hyderpora office of Geelani led Hurriyat.

“The founder of Pakistan, Qaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, after his all efforts made possible the existence of Pakistan, and turned it into a reality. The Qaid was among the tallest leaders of the world,” he said.

Referring to the Muslims of India, Sehrai said those who ditched Jinnah in 1947 are suffering to this date. “The Muslims of India ditched him (Jinnah) and termed the ‘Idea of Pakistan’ as vague. Now when we see the hapless condition of Muslims of India who are repeatedly asked to prove their loyalty to their country, makes it clear to us how visionary and right the Qaid was,” he said.

The media was not allowed to attend the seminar.
