SRINAGAR, Aug 8: Seven people, including four policemen, were injured Wednesday in Baramulla district of north Kashmir when separatist guerrillas attacked a police station with a grenade, police said.
They said the guerrillas lobbed a hand grenade at the Pattan Police Station, 30 km from here, in the evening.
“Seven persons, including four policemen and three civilians, were injured when militants lobbed a grenade,” said a police officer.
“The injured policemen include an assistant sub-inspector, a head constable and two constables,” he said.
“Three civilians have also been wounded in the explosion. The injured have been taken to hospital,” the police officer said.
No separatist group has yet owned responsibility for the attack.
Kashmir valley has recently witnessed a series of grenade attacks.
