SRINAGAR, July 17: Four people were killed in road accidents and two killed by drowning in separate incidents across Kashmir valley, police said on Tuesday.

Seventeen-year-old Srifa Jan of Rather Mohalla in Baramulla district’s Tangmarg area fell into a stream while walking over a foot bridge and drowned, police said.

Her body has been fished out and handed over to her family.

In south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, an 18-year-old mentally challenged boy, Himayun Khan, drowned in a stream near his village in Kokernag area, the spokesman said.

A carpenter Ghulam Nabi Dar fell from the rooftop while he was working in a house Kulgam. “He died on spot.”

Elsewhere three people were killed and half a dozen injured in separate road accidents in the valley, police said.
