MUMBAI, May 30: Yash Chopra’s romance for exotic locales has never ceased.

His passion to shoot a few scenes and some songs in snow capped mountains with the hero wearing heavy garments to shield from cold while the heroine is serenading in just a georgette saree devoid of any warm gear.

They say cinema has evolved from such fantasical depictions but not for Yash Chopra. Seven years after he held the mantle of a director, Chopra is all set to shoot a few scenes with Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in Kashmir where he had shot his romantic musical Kabhi Kabhie.

We hear that recently Chopra Sr. sent a group of production people to spot the right locations for the film in Kashmir.
They visited places like Nishat Bagh, Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Dal Lake and Char Chinari. They also found out about the permissions and other stuff required to shoot in such areas.

Many opine that Yash Chopra will have to look for virgin areas in Kashmir as it isn’t anymore inaccessible to people and has emerged as a favourite destination of many.

A source also said that Kashmir was every romantic filmmaker’s dream place to shoot their movie. It was the key shooting location till 70’s.

Post that, the rise in insurgency and cross border terrorism forced Bollywood folks to maintain distance from this troubled state. But now that things are looking up, Yash Chopra is very keen to shoot his romantic movie there. In all likelihood, the Kashmir schedule will begin from August.
