Your investments would not only create jobs but also win trust: Mehbooba to Biz leaders

CM meets Ambani, MD ESSAR Group and tourism players

 

Mumbai: Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Friday met business leaders in Mumbai and told them that by investing in Jammu and Kashmir they won’t only contribute in job creation but also win trust of the people.

Mehbooba informed the business community that her government is focused on improving road and air connectivity of the state and also the ‘ease of doing business’, which is a part of the Industrial Policy, has been increased.

The CM also met with the representatives of Mahindra Holidays and Resorts, world famous tour operators and asked them to explore high end tourist potential of the state.

She informed that that Kashmir’s high end tourism potential is very vast and the infrastructure related to that is being constantly upgraded.

Kavinder Gupta, the Managing Director of the group told the CM that the company is keen to come to Kashmir and work in collaboration with the department of tourism.

The CM also told the officials of the tourism department to join hands with the group and explore hidden destinations which will increase the tourist flow into the state.

She also met Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of the Reliance Group. Mehbooba and Ambani discussed about various business ventures which the company is planning to set up in the state.

Mehbooba also met with Anshuman Ruia, Director ESSAR and proposed that the company is welcome to set up their off shore units like call centers in the state which will create job opportunities for the youth. The CM was informed that the ground work to setup a call center in the state has already commenced.

She also told Ruia that other than call centers, the company can explore long terms options too.
