Starts campaigning for by-polls as in-charge of Srinagar-Budgam constituency
Srinagar: After Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said that former minister Imarn Raza Ansari was like her ‘younger brother’ and assured that all his grievances will be taken care of, Ansari on Tuesday said that he is ‘fighter of PDP’.
Ansari resigned from his post after the recent reshuffle in which MLA Amira Kadal Altaf Bukhari was re-inducted into the cabinet.
CM, after a meeting with the disgruntled Shia leader at her Gupkar residence had said, ““I assured him (Ansari) of addressing all his concerns. I will look into all the issues.”
After the meeting, Ansari was made in-charge of the Srinagar-Budgam Parliamentary constituency which would go for polls on 9th April.
“I am a fighter of the PDP. I have started campaigning for the party’s candidates in Kashmir, “said Ansari.
Ansari had resigned as Minister of Information Technology, Technical Education and Youth Services and Sports as in the recent reshuffle he was expecting a ‘better and an important’ portfolio.
Regarding what assurances he got from the CM Ansari said, “ That all has been reported in the media.”
