Mehbooba tells Pak to stop supporting militancy in Kashmir

‘Let peace return, talks will be resumed at every level’

Dooru: Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday said that Pakistan during the tenure of former Prime Minister Vajpayee had stopped supporting militancy and they should again do so and let peace return to the valley.

Mehbooba, while addressing a rally in South Kashmir’s Dooru area said, “Pakistan has adopted the policy of not supporting militancy during Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s tenure. I ask them to stop supporting militancy and help us in restoring the peace in the state.”

Touting unemployment as the ‘biggest challenge’ youth is facing, CM said that her government has addressing the problem ‘very effectively.’

She further added that talks will be initiated on every level once peace is allowed to return to the valley.

“Prime Minister, Narendra Modi went to Lahore to meet Nawaz Shareef but unfortunately the Pathankot incident occurred following his visit.”
