One civilian and a trooper injured in Pantha Chowk militant attack: CRPF

Srinagar: One civilian and a para-military trooper were injured in a suspected militant attack on a vehicle carrying personnel of Central reserve Police Force (CRPF).

Speaking to the FreePressKashmir, PRO CRPF, Rajesh Yadav said, “militants opened fire on a CRPF patrol party in Srinagar outskirts.”

He said that the CRPF party belonged to 190 battalion and Alpha company.

“One civilian and a CRPF man were injured in the attack,” he informed.

The injured have been rushed to hospital.

Heavy contingents of Indian army, JKP’s SOG and CRPF personnel cordoned off the whole area and started search operation after the attack.
