However, they said that they will meet him when the time is ‘appropriate’.

Sharma has left it to the parties to decide the time of meeting in the four days.

JK Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President G A Mir told KNS that he received the invitation. “We will discuss with the party leaders of meeting him and decide the appropriate time (for meeting),” Mir said.

“We are ready to talk to him and know what agenda he has come up with,” he said, adding that Congress has written back to Sharma about having received the invitation.

PDF chairman Hakeem Yasin, CPI (M) State Secretary M Y Tarigami and DPF Chairman Ghulam Hassan Mir confirmed having received the invitations.

“We will discuss with our party leaders and members about the time to meet him,” they told KNS.

However, main opposition party National Conference is yet to receive the invitation.

“We have not received the invitation yet,” NC General Secretary, Ali Muhammad Sagar said.

Sagar said that once the party gets the invite, its leaders, President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Working President Omar Abdullah with discuss and decide about the meeting.

Sharma is on four-day visit (Nov 6-9) beginning on Monday to the valley where he will meet delegations of political parties and other groups. The Hurriyat leaders have rejected to hold dialogue with Sharma.
