Says authorities choke people’s sentiments
Budgam: Welcoming the stand taken by the Organization Of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) with regard to declaring East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine, senior resistance leader and president Anjuman Shari Shian Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi said OIC needs all applauds for terming unilateral decision of US president Donald Trump who announced Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, as partial, unjustified and unacceptable.
Aga Syed Hasan was placed today under house arrest and was barred to offer Friday congregational prayers,” said a spokesperson.
The spokesperson condemned the detention of separatist leaders and castigated government for foiling to hold a Jalsa in Islamabad today.
Aga Syed Hasan meanwhile thanked OIC for standing with the truth by siding with the innocent Palestinians and hoped that the forum will not only continue to support the people of Palestine on moral and diplomatic fronts but also take concrete steps to raise their collective for the end of Israeli occupation of Palestine.
He said the unjustified announcement of Trump has hurt the sentiments of every Muslim across the globe.
Aga Hasan condemned the government move to impose undeclared curfew and bar people from offering Friday congregational prayers.
He urged the OIC to impress upon the UN to take steps to resolve the 70 year old Kashmir dispute in line with the commitments made to people of Jammu and Kashmir by the world body.
