Hurriyat (M) demands probe against mysterious killing of 19-year-old fruit dealer

Demands an impartial probe into incident

Srinagar: Expressing serious concern over the mysterious killing of a 19-year-old fruit dealer Zahid Ahmed Bhat who was found dead while on way to Rajasthan, the Hurriyat Conference (M) spokesman demanded an impartial probe into the incident through a transparent agency.

The spokesman said it is very unfortunate that while on one hand Kashmiris are unsafe in their own home land as people irrespective of their age and gender are being killed, arrested , maimed and blinded while on the other Kashmiris doing business in other parts of India too are being made soft targets and brutally murdered. He said it has been observed that students, business men and even a common

Kashmiri are made targets in various Indian states and subjected to various forms of harassment.

The spokesman that it’s an irony that the murder of Zahid Ahmed Bhat was being given a colour of suicide by the J&K government to hide its failure of ensuring proper protection of Kashmiris outside, the state, which is highly condemnable.

The APHC spokesman extended his sympathies and condolence to the bereaved family and prayed for the highest standards in Janah for the slain youth.

The spokesman stresses that it is the moral responsibility of the heads of various states of India to give proper protection to all the Kashmiri students, businessman, trades, fruit dealers and carpet sellers so that Kashmiris can ensure their stay away from home without any fear.
