At least 40 killed, dozens injured in blast near news agency in Kabul

Kabul: According to Afghanistan’s interior ministry, at least 40 people have been killed and dozens wounded in a blast in Kabul near the offices of a news agency and a cultural center.

The explosion early on Thursday struck an area close to both the Afghan Voice news agency and Tabyan cultural center.

An official of Afghan interior ministry has said that a suicide bomber was likely to have been behind the attack.

On December 25, more than 6 civilians where killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up near Afghanistan’s national intelligence agency compound in Kabul.
