BJP MLA who gave death threats to ‘cow smugglers’ says Modi is incarnation of Krishna

The BJP’s MLA from Ramgarh in Rajasthan Gyan Dev Ahuja, who recently courted controversy with his death threats to those who ‘smuggle cows’, has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the incarnation of Hindu God Krishna and would continue to rule the country for more than a decade even after the Lok Sabha elections in 2019.

In an interview to The Hindu, Mr Ahuja said, “This man (Mr. Modi) is incarnation of Lord Krishna. He is a distinguished personality. People may not able to recognise him now, but things will become clear in the times to come.”

He added, “Modi will continue to rule the country for more than a decade much beyond 2019. On one hand, we have Nehru family that promotes dynasty rule and on the other, Mr. Modi who does not even invite his own family to his official residence.”

The legislator said that Mr. Modi had taken historic decisions like demonetisation, Goods and Services Tax and Jan-Dhan scheme, when even former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who was called “Durga” by another former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, had developed cold feet at the decision to discontinue the currency.

Rajasthan has seen an alarming upscale of violence against Muslims by Hindu extremists. Recently a man was set on fire in a hate crime in Rajasthan’s Rajsamand district. The murderer took the video of the crime which got viral on social media.

Interestingly, the killer had a lot of support from Hindu groups, like the Shiv Sena Hindustan, who protested against his arrest. 28 policemen were hurt after mob supporting the Rajasthan psychopath went on rampage. The mob managed to hoist the Hindu Rastra flag on the court premises.

Shiv Sena Hindustan, a religious-turned-political outfit active in the state of Rajasthan, also targeted the famous Ajmer shrine and Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti threatening to demolish it, leading to tension in the city.
