Land Donors to be regularised first

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Sunday said that the ‘actual’ regularisation of 60 thousand daily wagers in the state will begin immediately after the budget session scheduled to commence from January 2, 2017.

The finance minister Haseeb Drabu said that as soon as the budget session is over, the government will start regularising the daily wagers in the state.

“The SRO is already issued but the actual regularisation hasn’t been started yet. The government is studying the cases and will issue orders for the regularisation of the daily wagers once the budget session is over,” Drabu said.

The finance minister added that in the first phase, the government will issue regularisation orders of the Land Donors and then to ITI trained ones followed by others. “The orders for regularising the services couldn’t be issued during the budget session, therefore the daily wagers have to wait till the session ends,” Darbu said.

Commenting over the coming budget session, Drabu said there will be several pro-people initiatives announced during the budget and that the government will also review the implementations of the previous budget announcements.

“I cannot give you the entire details of the coming budget session but I can tell you that there will be several pro-people measures announced by the government of Jammu and Kashmir,” the finance minister said.
