Haj house in Yogi’s UP painted saffron, just an ‘energetic colour’ says Minister Mohsin Raza

After Uttar Pradesh secretariat annex building donned saffron hue, its time for the Haj House in Lucknow to be painted in the saffron tinge.

Painting the walls of the UP Haj House in Lucknow in saffron hue erupted a controversy with opposition parties slamming the government.

However, Mohsin Raza, UP Minister, came to the rescue of the government.

“There is no need for controversy in such things, saffron is an energetic and bright looking colour, the building looks beautiful. Opposition has no big issues against us so they raise inconsequential things,” Mohsin Raza said on Haj House being painted saffron.

Earlier the BJP government in UP had painted the secretariat annex building, which houses the offices of chief minister Yogi Aditya Nath and top bureaucrats, saffron on a part of the facade and boundary wall.

In September, the state government had rolled out saffron buses. The department of energy, too, had come up with a scheme wherein electricity connections to unauthorised colonies would be provided through poles painted saffron.

The information department’s official site and booklet have a saffron tinge as well.
