Govt to introduce Rehbar-e-Sehat scheme to end staff scarcity in JK Hospitals

Similar to ReT pattern, ReS to be introduced across JK, says Health Minister

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday said that it is going to create posts of Rehbar-e-Sehat on a similar pattern of Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) in Jammu and Kashmir to end the staff paucity in the health institutes of the state.

The Minister for Health, Bali Bhagat in state’s upper house while replying to the query of MLC Mohammad Khurshid Alam stated that the government soon is going to introduce Rehbar-e-Sehat posts in the state so that the issue related to the dearth of medical staff felt on ground in the state could be addressed.

Alam had asked the government over the steps being taken by it to address the scarcity of the medical staff in the department of health services, Jammu and Kashmir.

Pertinently, with the expansion of health department, hundreds of posts of paramedical staff are lying vacant in newly created health institutions and people are facing lot of problems due to the insufficient paramedical staff.

Hundreds of unemployed trained paramedical youth of the state are pressing hard for their adjustment and had been asking the government to utilize their services in these institutions by introducing Rehbre-i-Sahet Scheme.
