Suicide bombing kills at least 7, injures 22 in Afghanistan

Kabul: At least seven people have died and 22 injured in ‘suicide bombing’ when happened close to Mosalla-Mazar area of the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul, reported the Tolo News.

the explosion occurred close to a ceremony being held on the death anniversary of Abdul Ali Mazari, the slain leader of the Islamic Unity Party of Afghanistan.

Ministry of Interior’s deputy spokesman said that the explosion was a suicide bombing adding that at least seven people were killed and 22 others were wounded in the explosion.

He added that the explosion happened close to a check point which is 300 meters from the gathering in which senior government officials marked the anniversary of Abdul Ali Mazari’s assassination.

Recently, the President of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani reached out to the Taliban and asked them to take part in the peace process in order to ‘save the country.’
