Srinagar: JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik was arrested and lodged in Central Jail Srinagar in the aftermath of the militant killings in Anantnag. Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was put under house earlier as the authorities fear that the Resistance leaders might carry out protests against the militant killings.
“Yasin Sahab was arrested from his home this morning and was lodged at Kothi Bagh police station,” said a JKLF spokesperson.
Earlier, Schools, colleges and universities suspended their classes and postponed all the scheduled exams.
