Srinagar: National Conference Working President Omar Abdullah on Monday lashed out at the Mehbooba Mufti government after a Government Employee was sacked for an ‘anti-government’ post.
A government order which was passed recently read, “No government employee shall engage in any criminal, dishonest, immoral or notoriously disgraceful conduct on social media which may be prejudicial to the government.”
The Registrar of the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu, Amit Kumar was sacked after he violated the order that prevents government employees from using their ‘personal social media accounts for any political activity or endorse the posts or tweets or blogs of any political figure.’
Omar, in a tweet, said that Ministers can defend a rape accused but a Doctor can’t point out the truth.

Omar was referring to Forest Minister Chaudhry Lal Singh and Industries Minister Chander Prakash Ganga who took part in a rally in support of the accused in the Kathua rape and murder case.
In another tweet, the former Chief Minister informed that the sacked doctor had only said that the lift inaugurated by the health minister was not new.
All the doctor did was point out that the lift the health minister claimed to have inaugurated was actually an old lift & for that he was removed from his post of Registrar.
