JRL says state has turned valley into a slaughter house, to hold a presser on May 5

Srinagar: The Joint Resistance Leadership on Thursday while lashing out at the authorities for unleashing a reign of terror and un-proportionate and unjustified use of lethal weapons against innocent civilians, said that the state has turned the whole valley into a slaughter house.

In a statement, JRL comprising of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Dr Umar Farooq and Mohd Yasin Malik termed the killing of a teenage student Umar Kumar in Shopian as a deplorable act

The leadership added that we are deeply grieved over the killings of un-blossomed flowers.

Meanwhile Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) also announced that will hold a press conference at Ahadoos Hotel on May 5.

Reiterating their pledged, the JRL said, “We will never forget sacrifices rendered by martyrs. We are duty bound to carry their mission till its logical conclusion. We will never surrender and will pursue the mission of martyrs, despite terror unleashed by brutal authorities. Resistance leadership won’t allow any body to deceive the nation and bargain against the sacrifices of martyrs.”

Earlier, an emergency meeting was held between the three leaders at Hyderpora at Geelani’s residence, in which leaders deliberated upon the recent appalling situations in state, said a spokesman.
