Advises militants to remain cautious about the activities of informers, use of cell phones

Srinagar: Hizb-ul-Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin has termed the killing of five militants in a gunfight in Badigam village in Shopian as painful and irreparable loss and exuded confidence that every drop of the blood of the said militants would give birth to many more.

In an emailed statement, the Hizb Spokesman Saleem Hashmi quoted Syed Salahuddin as saying, “Prof Dr Mohammad Rafi Bhat had joined Hizb ranks just a day ago and his martyrdom has proved that one day of freedom is better than thousands days of slavery.”

The Hizb chief Syed Salahuddin, according to the statement, made the remarks while chairing a meeting of the command council called in the backdrop of the killing of five militants in Badigam village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

The command council meeting, according to the statement, said that Indian forces have established a network of some hired people who are only and only doing the duty of informers and stress was laid on showing extra vigil in presence of such informers.

The meeting also said that the use of cell phones also keeps enemy informed about the movement of militants and stress was laid on all the militant ranks in Jammu and Kashmir in general and Hizb ranks in particular that they should remain cautious about the activities of Indian agents and hired informers.

The command council paid glowing tributes to the slain militants and said that highly qualified teachers and scholars joining the movement is the strength of the struggle and defeating such nations is almost impossible. The meeting also prayed for patience to the departed souls and courage to bear the losses to the bereaved families.
