To assess prevailing situation in valley, Modi to arrive in Srinagar on May 19

Srinagar: Narendra Modi will be arriving in Srinagar on May 19 to take stock of the prevailing situation in Kashmir and the progress of developmental projects undertaken in all the three regions of the state.

Informed sources also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Srinagar on one day visit to the state during which he will have meetings with the Governor N N Vohra, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and top officials of the state administration for discussing the prevailing situation in Kashmir.

Modi during his stay in Srinagar will e-inaugurate the ring roads for Srinagar and Jammu at SKICC Srinagar and will address a high level meeting for about forty minutes there. He will also inaugurate commencement of work on Zojila Tunnel, lay foundation of Pakal Dul Power Project, join Kushak Bakola valedictory function at Leh and address convocation at SKAUST Jammu.

A high level meeting under the chairmanship of B B Vyas was on Monday held at Civil Secretariat Srinagar to finalise the arrangements for the Prime Minister’s visit.
