Three army men injured in IED blast in Shopian

At least three army men have been injured an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was triggered by suspected militants in Shopian district of Kashmir on Monday.

A police official said that the militants triggered the blast around 7:50 am in Turkwangam village of the district as a Casper vehicle of army’s 44 RR passed through the area. “Three soldiers have suffered injuries in the blast,” he said.

All the injured have been rushed to the hospital. Additional forces were deployed in the area after the blast however, youth took to the streets and clashed with them.

Late Sunday, Militants attacked an army camp in Kakpora area of Pulwama in which a civilian and an army man were killed.
