Srinagar: PDP in its initial reaction of the pull out by BJP has said that the party have proved Delhi betrays Kashmir but Kashmir does not betray Delhi and claimed that party did not compromise on its stated positions over core issues.

PDP Spokesman and the outgoing Works Minister Naeem Akhtar said, “there was a perception that Kashmir betrays Delhi but we have proved it is Delhi which betrays Kashmir but Kashmir does not betray Delhi. There were already difficulties in being North Poles close to South Poles and finally BJP has taken the decision to end alliance for securing its interests for 2019 Lok Sabha elections”.

Akthtar said, “PDP did not compromise on the core issues and party’s positions over Article 370, Article 35 A and Rasana girls rape and murder case have stood the test”.

Rejecting Ram Madhav’s allegations on the killing of noted journalist Shujaat Bukhari the outgoing Works Minister Naeem Akhter said, “All know in whose control the police, paramilitaries and army is”.
