Srinagar: On Monday, one militant was killed and two army men were injured in an ongoing fight near Safawali Gali along the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, GNS news agency reported. The injured have been shifted to the hospital.
An army officer stated that a joint search party of 10 JAKLI, 57 RR and 41 RR challenged the movement of a group of infiltrators before dawn, which led to a gunfight near Safawali Gali adjacent to Batpora forests.
The officer said that the firefight continued intermittently till Monday morning.
