Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Chairman of Hurriyat (M) on Friday said that the tinkering with Article 35 A is not just an attempt to dilute the disputed nature of the state but an assault on the very existence of JK.
Addressing a gathering at the historic Jamia Masjid, Mirwaiz said:
Tinkering with Art 35A is not only an attempt to dilute the disputed nature of #Kashmir but an all out assault on the very existence on the State of Jammu and Kashmir, which will never be allowed by its people who are ready to even lay down their lives for its protection pic.twitter.com/MWxYa1VEeB

Earlier, The Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) carried out a protest after Friday prayers in Bilal Masjid at the Bund in Srinagar against the ‘planned abrogation’ of Article 35A. The protest was led by Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik.Malik said the people were ready to defend the article ‘with their blood’.
Earlier, The Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik met to ‘deliberate the serious challenge posed to Article 35A.
