‘Any attempt to fiddle with these laws will have catastrophic consequences’

Srinagar: National Conference leader and former Member of Legislative Council Dr. Bashir Ahmad Veeri called upon Farooq Abdullah at his Delhi residence today, where Abdullah expressed his deep concerns over protection of Article 35-A of the Constitution of India.

Abdullah emphasized that all the rational people of J&K should realize the gravity of the situation and must unite against nefarious designs of anti J&K elements.

He stressed that Articles 35-A and 370 are a bridge between J&K & rest of India and any attempt to fiddle with them will have catastrophic consequences.

“Safeguarding constitutional position of J&K state is core agenda of National Conference,” said Abdullah.

Speaking about those who “deceived and incarcerated Sheikh Abdullah for power and lust at the cost of constitutional position of J&K”, Abdullah said that had they not deceived popular leadership at that time, the present situation would never have arisen.

Abdullah reiterated that all shades of political spectrum must unite and safeguard constitutional position of the State & help in restoration of eroded autonomy of the State.
