The Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) has called for a shutdown on Friday against the killing of a civilian in Qamarwari area of Srinagar during a cordon-and-search-operation.
In a tweet, Chairman of Hurriyat (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said:

Meanwhile, internet has been suspended in the city and a curfew has been imposed in the Downtown area to prevent protests.
The slain youth, Muhammad Saleem Malik was killed when armed forces opened fire during a cordon and search operation in Noorbagh as there were inputs of presence of militants in the area.
