Srinagar: Armed forces launched a cordon-and-search operation in Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
An official said that the army’s 13 RR, SOG of Jammu and Kashmir police and 45 Battalion of CRPF launched a joint operation in Syed Mohalla and Mir Mohalla localities of Hajin town.

“The cordon and search operation was launched at around 5 am in the morning,” the official said.
The searches were going on when this report was filed.
