NIA raids house of prominent Kashmiri businessman in Srinagar

Srinagar: The NIA officials Tuesday raided the residence of a Kashmiri businessman, Ajaz Ahmed Hakak in old city of Srinagar, Kashmir Reader reported.

Early morning, a team of NIA officials raided the house of Ajaz Ahmad Hakak in Nowhatta and carried out extensive searches, Kashmir Reader quoted witnesses as saying.

The raid is currently underway.

The National Investigation Agency recently conducted a night raid in the residence of Syed Shakeel Ahmad, the second son of Hizb chief Syed Salahuddin in August and arrested him.

In July, NIA  raided the residence of Dukhtaran-e-Millat chief Asiya Andrabi at Iqbal Colony 90 feet road in Soura Srinagar.

Last year, Syed Shahid Yousuf, Salahudin’s another son was arrested by the NIA in an alleged terror funding case. Shahid, an employee in the Agriculture department, has been suspended and since then is lodged in the Tihar Jail.
