Srinagar: A gunfight broke out between militants and armed forces in Kreeri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday, police said.
Army’s 29 RR, Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police and the CRPF launched a cordon-and-search operation in Athoora area of Kreeri.
As the forces moved towards the suspected spot, the militants fired at them, triggering off a gunfight, they said.
