‘Bullet perforated body of abducted Shopian youth recovered from Pulwama village’, says police

Srinagar: A young man’s bullet perforated body was retrieved from a village in adjoining Pulwama district, police said Friday following reports of his abduction in Shopian.

A police spokesman said the bullet perforated body of Nadeem Manzoor was retrieved from Nikloora village of Pulwama disitrict during the pre-dawn hours on Friday.

He said that Manzoor was abducted by the militants from his native village of Safanagri, Shopian on Thursday evening.

“A case has been registered in this regard under relevant sections of law and investigation initiated,” said the spokesman, in a statement on Friday.
