If a third front emerges in JK, I am ready to join it, says PDP’s co-founder Muzaffar Hussain Baig

Peoples Democratic Party co-founder Muzaffar Hussain Baig on Tuesday said that if a third front emerges in Jammu and Kashmir, he is ready to join that.

The former member of the parliament said that the PDP has no lived up to its vision and he ready to leave if a third front emerges. He also criticized the PDP’s decision to boycott the local body elections.

“I will see how the party reacts to my statement. I am hurt and disillusioned by the way the matters were handled by the PDP,” Baig responded to a question.

He said the PDP unwittingly fell into a drop by boycotting the polls.

Hinting that he might join Sajad Lone lead Poeple’s Conference, Baig said that it will be his ‘home coming’.

He pointed out that despite the election boycott by NC and PDP people voted in certain areas.

“I know the reason why NC called for the boycott. It was a defensive step that they took because of the comments of senior leader in Delhi To overcome the resentment, they called for boycott of elections,” Baid said and added, “Why PDP followed the decision, I don’t understand. They unwittingly fell into the trap”.
