Srinagar: Exchange of fire took place between militants and armed forces on Monday morning in Shopian district of south Kashmir.
Reports said that a brief exchange of fire took place in Sangran Imam Sahib area of the district during a search operation launched by the forces around 3 am.
They said that the militants escaped after exchanging fire with the forces.
