Jamia Masjid shut 16 times in 2018, Mirwaiz spent 120 days in house detention: ACC

Srinagar: The Awami action Committee has said that the historic Jamia Masjid was shut for 16 Fridays in 2018 and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, the Chairman of the Hurriyat (M) spent more than 120 days in house detention.

This year Muslims were barred 16 times from offering Friday congregation prayers at #JamaMasjid Srinagar by shameless rulling regime while as APHC Chairman @MirwaizKashmir spent together more than 120 days of house detention.

The Joint Resistance Leadership including Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar and JKLF Chief Yasin Malik have been either arrested or put under house detention whenever they have called for peaceful protests again human rights violations in Kashmir.
