Suspected militants throw grenade at CRPF bunker in Lal Chowk, Police recover arms and ammunition in Lawaypora

Srinagar: Unidentified persons on Friday night hurled a grenade of CRPF bunker (132 BN) located near Palladium cinema in Lal Chowk area of Srinagar.

Meanwhile, the Jammu Kashmir Police on Friday said that they have recovered arms and ammunition from a vehicle in Lawaypora area of Srinagar.

Detailing the incident Police said that during a Naka checking in Srinagar, a Maruti vehicle bearing the registration number JK13C2094 was stopped near Dilshan Hotel Lawaypora, Srinagar.

Upon checking the vehicle two rifles, one AK 47, one Insas and One hand Grenade and a cash of 5 lakh was recovered from the possession of two people in the vehicle.

The two persons were also taken into detention by the Jammu Kashmir Police.
