Activists of JRL protest against continuous detention of Kashmiri prisoners

Srinagar: Activists of the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) on Friday held protests against the continuous detention of Kashmiri prisoners who are lodged in different jails in and outside the state.

Protests were held in Maisuma and Jamia Masjid areas of Srinagar.

Soon after the culmination of congregational Friday prayers, scores of JRL activists assembled outside the historic grand mosque and raised slogans against the government.

The activists were demanding immediate release of political prisoners and youth lodged in different jails of the state and outside.

At Maisuma, scores of the JRL supporters led by JKLF leaders staged a protest demonstration against the continuous detention of Kashmiri prisoners.

The protesters said prisoners from Kashmir are languishing from decades in different jails in Jammu and Kashmir and other states of India.
