Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah strongly denounces attack, accuses U.S, Israel of ‘nurturing Takfiri elements’
27 Iran Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) were killed in a ‘terrorist attack’ in southeastern Iran, the country’s English news channel Press TV reported. The personnel had been travelling between the cities of Zahedan and Khash, in Sistan and Baluchestan province on Wednesday, when their bus was targeted in a ‘suicide car bomb attack’, the report stated.
The personnel’s Qods Headquarters said in a statement that a explosive-laden car rammed into the bus, which was taking the personnel back to their homes.
Jaish ul-Adl outfit claimed responsibility for the bombing, the report stated.
Following the attack, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that it was not coincidental that ‘terrorists have attacked the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on the same day that an anti-Iran summit organized by the United States kicks off in Poland’.
“Is it no coincidence that Iran is hit by terror on the very day that #WarsawCircus begins? Especially when cohorts of same terrorists cheer it from Warsaw streets & support it with twitter bots? US seems to always make the same wrong choices, but expect different results,” he wrote on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah strongly denounced the attack and accused the US, the Israeli regime and their regional allies of ‘nurturing the Takfiri elements’ behind it.
Hezbollah said in a statement the attack ‘portrayed the true image of the organized terrorism led by the US government, which encourages other countries to follow suit’.
“Intimidated by the Iranian nation’s huge turnout in the [Monday] rallies marking the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, these criminal groups sought to send a bloody message” by carrying out the suicide attack, the statement added.
