Srinagar: PDP President Mehbooba Mufti while reacting to BJP President Amit Shah’s statement that Article 370 will go by 2020, said ‘if that happens it will be the final year of Kashmir with India.’
After filing her nomination for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Anantnag, Mehbooba said, “Kashmir will end its relation with India if Article 370 is removed in 2020, that will be the final year of Kashmir with India.”
She also added that she will try to fulfill the dreams of her late father who wanted to resolve the issue of Jammu Kashmir. She pointed out that this would be her first election without the ‘guidance and support’ of her father.

Recently, BJP President Amit Shah had said that that removing Article 35-A has been in the BJP manifesto since 1950 and it will happen by 2020.
“It has not happened till now as we do not have a majority in Rajya Sabha, but I believe it will happen by 2020. Removing Article 35A has been in our manifesto since 1950, it is our commitment to the people of the country,” Shah said.
