Pak couldn’t damage India’s brotherhood in 70 years, their ‘friend’ Modi did it in five years: Kejriwal

Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal has said that Pakistan and its Prime Minister Imran Khan are “supporting” Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha polls as they want riots to spread in India.

Delhi Chief Minister alleged that what Pakistan could not do in 70 years, their “friend” Modi did it in five years — that is damaging India’s brotherhood.

His remarks on Twitter came after the BJP President Amit shah said that they will ensure implementation of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in the country and will “remove every single infiltrator”, except Buddhists, Hindus and Sikhs.

“Pakistan and (prime minister) Imran Khan want riots to spread in India. That is why Pakistan is openly supporting Modi in the upcoming polls,” Kejriwal tweeted in Hindi.

Shah had said, “We have promised in our manifesto that once Narendra Modi forms government once again, we will implement National Register of Citizens in the entire country,” Shah said. “We will remove every single infiltrator from the country. And all the Hindu and Buddhist refugees…we will find each of them, give them Indian citizenship and make them residents here.”

Recently, Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan had said there may be a better chance of peace talks with India if PM Narendra Modi’s BJP comes to power again.

Khan said that the Congress party might be too scared to seek a settlement with Pakistan over Kashmir, fearing a backlash from the right wing if they come to power.

“Perhaps if the BJP – a right-wing party – wins, some kind of settlement in Kashmir could be reached,” Imran Khan told journalists in an interview.
